​SLED RULES
 

• All sleds will be inspected for compliance. Sled inspectors have the final say.

• PERMITTED MATERIALS - Sleds may be constructed of corrugated cardboard, paint, tape, and glue ONLY. String/rope for handles accepted.

• NOT PERMITTED MATERIALS - sonotubes or similar pressed hard structural paper, metal (including metal tape), plastic, or wood.

• Sleds must have a front, a bottom, and two sides at least 6 inches in height, and the racer's bodies must fit on the sled.

• WINGS extending more than 6 inches are NOT PERMITTED

• Runners must not extend more than 6 inches in front of the sled.

• Any sled that questions the safety of the racer or audience will be asked to alter the sled or will not be able to race.

• Participants will be allowed to fix any issues before racing begins

RACER RULES 
 

• Racers are required to wear ski helmets, goggles, gloves, long sleeves, and long pants

• Racers CANNOT wear ski boots

• Open to ages 5-14 (maximum age is 14 years of age by 3/23/2026)

• Maximum of 2 racers per sled

• Racers may race on one sled team only

• Each racer's legal guardian MUST sign a WAIVER & RELEASE FORM for youth to participate.
