Our Approach

At One to One Mentoring, our approach is rooted in the belief that youth thrive when they are supported by strong relationships with mentors, peers, families, and the broader community.

Trusted Relationships

We create long-lasting matches between local youth and caring adult mentors. Our average match lasts over 3 years, far above the national average.

Identity and Confidence

We support youth as they explore their identities, build self-esteem, and discover their place in the world, especially important for those with intersectional identities.

Peer Connection

In addition to one-on-one mentoring, we offer group activities that foster positive peer relationships and build a strong sense of belonging.

Community and Cultural Responsiveness

Our work is shaped by regular feedback from youth and families, our presence in community spaces, and collaboration with partners like Collaborative Action For Immigrants and Communities that Care.

Informed by Data

We track both outcomes and experiences through surveys, interviews, and daily interactions to adapt and improve our programming in real time.

Our Partners

Our work is made possible through the support, collaboration, and generosity of our community partners. From schools and local nonprofits to health providers and coalitions, these relationships help us surround youth with the care and connection they deserve.
